Hundreds kicked off their Fourth of July weekend with a race in the RenoTahoe region. Here’s a quick breakdown of each race:
Truckee Firecracker Mile
The annual Truckee Firecracker Mile took place on the streets of Old Town Truckee just before the Independence Day parade kicks off. The race is organized by the Auburn Ski Club, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide affordable year-round mountain sport experiences through programs, events, and facilities for all snow sport enthusiasts.
The race had 750+ participants. Congratulations to the top-3.

Run to the Beach 5K/10K
Big Blue Adventure put on their annual Run to the Beach 5K/10K last Friday. Both trail race distances started at North Tahoe Regional Park and finished along the shores of Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe Vista Recreation Beach. 350 runners participated between the 5K and 10K distances. Here are the top-3 for both races.

Freedom 5K
240 runners took to the streets of Gardnerville, NV to kick off their holiday weekend. The Freedom 5K is the second race in the We Run this Town series put on by Main Street Gardnerville. The final race in the series will be the Paint the Town Pink 5K on October 18.
Congratulations to the top-3 from the Freedom 5K.
